Our Cook Island Visitors

On Wednesday, the 7th of August 2019, Philominna and Elizabeth Akaruru came with their guitar and their uklele to our class and showed off their singing talents and also shared their stories with us. They played 3 beautiful songs that made us dance and clap along while she was singing. She is a Lawn Bown champion and she representds Royal Oak Bowling. She has a passion for singing. As she was telling us about her passion for singing everyday. She will sing everywhere, she will even sing when walking to school. She is a member of Royal Oak bowling club and she is really good at it. Her sister Elizabeth and her family will always sing and when they sing, their show their passion and obvious to me that it comes from their hearts. As you know they are also called the "Jandal Sisters". Their songs are played on the radio every Fridays.
